JDMBidderby muFreight

Who we are

JDMBidder is muFreight’s buying service for Japanese auctions. We are a freight company first, which is the part that matters: the hard problem was never winning the auction, it was getting the part across an ocean for a price that makes buying it sensible.

What we actually do

Yahoo Auctions Japan is the largest used-parts market in the world for Japanese cars, and it is effectively closed to buyers outside Japan. Sellers want a Japanese buyer, a Japanese payment method and a Japanese address. We are all three, on your behalf.

Then the part sits in our warehouse in Japan until the next container sails, crosses in a container shared with other customers’ parts, and waits for you at a pickup point. Sharing the container is what turns an unaffordable shipment into an affordable one.

Where the parts land

We collect into shared containers and release them at partner pickup points, currently across the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Poland. Some are places you turn up to; some are delivery routes that bring the part closer to your door.

The list changes as partners join, so rather than print it here it is shown live: you pick your collection point in your account settings, and from then on every listing prices the freight to that point. Not sure which is nearest you? Ask us.
