This is a titanium hood bar (hood stay) that was used on an EK9 Civic. It's a stay that supports the hood when it's open.
Made of heat-treated titanium, it enhances the engine bay's appearance and slightly reduces weight. It's an easy-to-install part with no particular drawbacks.
