I purchased this at auction and intended to service and ride it, but I have determined that I cannot service this vehicle any further.

【*Extremely Important - Please Read to Prevent Problems*】

This vehicle is a completely non-running junk vehicle with the "sprague clutch (starter clutch) slippage/failure" problem common to early model Triumphs. (Sprague clutch genuine part number T1221030)

I am not very knowledgeable about motorcycles, but after researching, I believe this is the cause.

The cranking is fine, but with the spark plug removed (the "lightest load"), the starter motor sometimes turns with a slight whirring sound. However, once the spark plug is put back in and compression is applied to the engine, it can't withstand the load, resulting in a loud clanging and whirring noise, alternating with the sound of the crankshaft spinning freely, and the crankshaft won't turn.

It seems the spark plug clutch itself isn't faulty, but rather the spring in the bearing inside is stretched and damaged (though this can only be confirmed by disassembling it).

There seems to be a workaround involving using a spring from an oil seal of the same size to fix it.

Further repairs are difficult for me, so I request bids only from experienced mechanics, Sunday mechanics, or those seeking parts.

Although it's an older vehicle with some white rust, the body is very clean, showing that the previous owner took good care of it.

Currently stored indoors. (Probably from the previous owner)

Currently no oil leaks, no dents in the tank.

* The old gasoline and coolant in the fuel tank and carburetor have been drained and are currently empty. About half of the engine oil has also been drained.

* The engine is not seized. It can be easily pushed by hand without dragging the brakes.

* Lights have been checked. (Currently battery-less)
