★Honda EG6 Civic★Carbon Fiber Hood★【Brand New】

Product Details

This hood uses plain weave wet carbon fiber.

The reason it's inexpensive is that the surface is finished in black gel coat instead of clear, and the carbon fiber itself is not a single piece but joined together.

(Because of the black gel coat finish, the carbon fiber weave is not visible.)

However, in terms of strength and weight, it's the same as a regular carbon fiber hood; while the genuine hood weighs about 14 kg, this one is very lightweight at about 6 kg.

The underside is made of FRP with a black gel coat finish in the normal shape.

It is compatible with the normal catch, but we recommend installing hood pins for safety.

*Please do not use if the genuine hydraulic dampers are installed, as this may cause distortion.

*In its initial state, the duct holes are not cut.

You can create the openings by selecting an option.

* Drilling holes in the duct area…2,000 yen

* Installing aluminum mesh on the duct area…4,000 yen

* Drilling washer holes…2,000 yen

*There are marking lines for the washer holes, so you can drill them yourself with a drill and file.

FRP and carbon fiber products are made of durable materials, but

applying excessive force to fragile parts such as corners may cause damage.

Please work carefully.

Please allow painting to dry at room temperature.

Forcing drying at high temperatures may cause warping.

◆Carbon Fiber…

Made using wet carbon fiber cloth.

Since it is manufactured at room temperature, applying temperatures higher than those used during manufacturing will cause warping.

◆FRP…

Finished with gel coat.

For items without a mirror finish, painting is required.

Please paint or otherwise apply paint before installation.

Due to the manufacturing process…

Burrs and air bubbles may be unavoidable.

Please remove them during surface preparation before painting.

◆Mirror Finish…

As this is a mirror finish on gel coat material, small scratches may remain.

Depending on storage conditions,

it will deteriorate faster than painted surfaces.

Please understand that this is completely different from typical painted products.

If you are concerned about the appearance, please consider painting or other modifications.

◆Installation…

Depending on the vehicle, some minor modifications and adjustments may be necessary.

Please use a file or sandpaper for this.

For the hood and trunk, we recommend securely fastening them with hood pins, etc.

We cannot be held responsible for any malfunctions or accidents after installation.

For the reasons above, we generally recommend having the installation done by a shop.
